OUR COACH: Jing YUAN
Former Chinese Women's National Basketball Team Player
Jing is a former professional women's basketball player who played for the Chinese Women's National Basketball Team. She joined Samsung Life Blueminx women's basketball club in Women's Korean Basketball League (WKBL) as a foreign player in 2000. She also started for the BaYi women's basketball team, a premier team that won many championships in the Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA), as the starting point guard. She played a pivotal role to help Team China and Bayi in their quests to win many championships in the Asian championships/tournaments, and in the WCBA. After retirement, she coached for Bayi and the Chinese Junior Women's National Basketball team, where she gained invaluable experience as a basketball coach and trainer.
In 2023, Jing founded Connected Sports Inc., and authored a special training program for kids 5-14 that will be tailored to each player's skill levels. This will be a great opportunity to open the world of organized competitive sports to your children, as well as adding disciplined professional one-on-one training to their regimes.
OUR COACH: Teddy FLETCHER
Coach Theodore Fletcher has been coaching basketball for almost 18 years now but prior to coaching Coach Fletcher played the sport since the age of 9. Coach Fletcher has coached at the boy’s high school level, first as an assistant coach before serving as head coach (2014-15) at Bishop Mora Salesian High School in Los Angeles. While at BMSHS, he led the Mustangs to the Max Preps Holiday Classic tournament championship. He went on to coach at the university, as assistant coach to the women's team Dixie State for two years. He currently continues working at the High School level coaching varsity level basketball.
Fletcher has also coached in a number of adult leagues, including The Drew League and The Midnight Madness, which is an organization that helps inner city youth stay off the streets and inside a basketball gym.
He was a member of the Fresno State men’s basketball team for two seasons under legendary basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian, and also played one season at the College of the Sequoias. A native of Inglewood, Calif., Fletcher was team captain and point guard at Inglewood HS, where he helped lead the Sentinels to four-straight Bay Area titles.
OUR COACH: Cedric SOBERS
Former Collegiate Athleter
Cedric has been dedicated to the game of basketball ever since he could remember. He has had the pleasure of playing the sport all of his life including being awarded as League MVP at La Serna High School, Del Rio League First Team All League 2015, and San Gabriel Valley First Team All Area 2015 - 2018, and First Team All CIF 2016 - 2018 to name a few. Following his high school basketball journey, Sobers was offered an athletic scholarship to commit to the Westcliff University Men’s Basketball Team. He worked hard to be recognized as the California Pacific Conference First Team All Defense, and later with his team became the California Pacific Conference Champions.
Throughout his basketball career as a player for Westcliff University, those same four years consisted of Sobers also mentoring and training youth athletes as a coach as he continues to do today. Cedric hosts private lessons for those young athletes that want to advance in their own basketball careers. As well as coaching and training youth athletes, Cedric is also currently getting his MBA with a finance focus at California State University Fullerton. Sobers has goals to pursue his overseas basketball career after completing his MBA.
OUR COACH: Matthew FOGARTY
Former Division 1 Player
Matthew has been involved in coaching basketball from youth to the collegiate level for 17 years. Matthew coaches players of all ages to master basketball fundamentals and develop individual skills in all areas of the game. A former Division 1 player, Matthew has accomplished multiple league championships, 1st Team All State, Conference MVP, 5x First Team All Conference, 2017 college hall of fame inductee and received a full ride basketball scholarship to Rocky Mountain College. Matthew has also accomplished achievements off the court by getting his masters in Sports Management and running his own basketball training business.
